Infrastructure First — A Smart Path for Lee County

Lee County is growing rapidly—and while growth can bring opportunity, it must be managed responsibly. For quite some time, development has outpaced infrastructure, leaving residents to deal with the consequences: crowded roads, strained services, water pressure concerns, and declining quality of life.

It’s time to change course.

My campaign is built on a simple principle: infrastructure must come before new development—not after it. Roads, drainage systems, schools, and emergency services should be in place before new projects are approved, not years down the line when problems are already impacting residents.

When infrastructure lags behind growth, taxpayers end up footing the bill. Traffic worsens, flooding risks increase, and public safety resources are stretched thin. That’s not sustainable—and it’s not fair to the people who already call Lee County home.

As County Commissioner, I will:

  • Advocate for development approvals that are tied to real, funded infrastructure plans

  • Push for stricter impact assessments before major projects move forward

  • Ensure developers contribute their fair share to roads, utilities, and public services

  • Promote long-term planning instead of short-term decision-making

Growth isn’t the enemy—poor planning is.

We can have both a thriving economy and a high quality of life—but only if we put infrastructure first.
